The Wilken Group began life as an air charter business founded in 1959. In the 1970’s the shareholders of Wilken divided the company into two, selling Wilken Air to Cooper Motors Limited under whose ownership it still operates today.

Over the past few years, Wilken has ventured back into the aviation industry as Wilken Aviation, which owns, operates and leases aircraft at the Wilson Airport in Nairobi, Kenya.
